Lisa Goebel was the other owner of Rummy’s Beach Club. She was a Physician Assistant for 20+ years and worked with patients undergoing bone marrow transplants at cutting-edge institutions like the University of Chicago, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She loved being a PA, but always wanted to do more with animals. Rummy’s was created for her dogs – old, handicapped, dog aggressive, fearful, reactive, escape artists, neglected, abused and crazy toy driven. Rummy, her blind Siberian Husky Siberian Husky was her inspiration. However, all her rescue dogs taught her how to create a safe and private environment for dogs with disabilities. There are few places where you can have fun with your dog, whether it’s an aggressive dog, blind dog, or an old dog who is unstable. Rummy’s Beach Club is all about the dogs. The more you come here with your dogs with issues, the less you will see those issues here. This is their second home, and their confidence grows. It is so rewarding to be a part their growth.
