About Walsall
Walsall ( (listen), or ; locally ) is a market town and administrative centre in the West Midlands County, England. Historically part of Staffordshire, it is located 9 miles (14 km) north-west of Birmingham, 7 miles (11 km) east of Wolverhampton and 9 miles (14 km) from Lichfield. Walsall is the administrative centre of the wider Metropolitan Borough of Walsall. It was transferred from Staffordshire to the newly created West Midlands County in 1974. What an irony to consider this an antiques place! Mostly Morrocan and Brazilian stones, new resine figurines, some 80's comics and basically the type of bric-a-brac stuff that you find a charity shop. Very disappointing. Only two old 40's very cheap, common glass vases and an Imary replica that they sell at a rip off price. Not recommended for collectors or serious antiques hunters.
